Lam Tsuen Wishing Trees and Tin Hau Temple
There are 2 famous banyan trees are favorite with local villagers who come to burn joss sticks and incense papers hoping their wishes will come true. During Chinese New Year, many Hong Kong people make a pilgrimage to this spot to make their Chinese New Year wishes by tying wish-making papers onto the wooden racks beside the trees. Participate in this tradition and you wish may come true. The nearby Tin Hau Temple was built around the time of Emperor Qian Long of the Qing dynasty (1736-1796) and is the largest temple of its kind in Tai Po.
Hong Kong Railway Museum
Located in the old Tai Po Market railway station, which first opened in 1913, the station is now an historical monument. Its exhibition of Hong Kong’s rail history includes photographs, old coaches, samples of track and a full-size model of an electric train compartment.
Tai Po Waterfront Park & Lookout Tower
Occupying an area of about 22 hectares, the Tai Po Waterfront Park is the largest park in Hong Kong. It is a versatile park with ample facilities including a 1.2km long waterfront path, a jogging trail, a cycling path and in Insect house. There is a 32.4m high Lookout Tower, tourists are able to capture the whole view of the Park and the Tolo Harbour.

Located at Sea-Land Market for Ecological Leisure in Tai Po Waterfront Park, the largest Hong Kong 5D floor painting portrays Chinese white dolphin propelling themselves out of the water while the bridge in the floor painting perfectly blending the painting into the tranquil landscape. With the aid of a mobile app’s cartoons, public can take photo against the painting that create the dynamic and interactive 5D effect.
