Lam Tsuen Wishing Trees and Tin Hau Temple

There are 2 famous banyan trees are favorite with local villagers who come to burn joss sticks and incense papers hoping their wishes will come true. During Chinese New Year, many Hong Kong people make a pilgrimage to this spot to make their Chinese New Year wishes by tying wish-making papers onto the wooden racks beside the trees. Participate in this tradition and you wish may come true. The nearby Tin Hau Temple was built around the time of Emperor Qian Long of the Qing dynasty (1736-1796) and is the largest temple of its kind in Tai Po.

Occupying an area of about 22 hectares, the Tai Po Waterfront Park is the largest park in Hong Kong. There is a 32.4m high Lookout Tower, tourists are able to capture the whole view of the Park and the Tolo Harbour.
